  1. Welcome and President’s Report- Kathy O’Grady
    • Volunteers needed for the “Chalk the Walk”, a teacher appreciation week kick-off event.
      • Event is Sunday, May 4th from 10:00 a.m. to noon.
      • All welcome
      • Participants draw and write thank you messages to our teachers on the sidewalks to all buildings.
      • Coffee and donuts will be provided
      • E-mail kathyogrady007@gmail.com if interested
  • Teacher appreciation lunch will be served one afternoon during the teacher appreciation week - May 5 to May 9.  Previous years we provided lunch on the professional day we had on February 14th
    • Play for PCD
      • Suggest your corporate employer become a sponsor and use participation in the golf foursome as an internal sales challenge.  It is a win/win for PCD and your corporate employer.
      • We are looking for donation items for the auction.
      • E-mail jahdae@providencecountryday.org for sponsorship forms and donation forms for auction items.
 
  1. Head of School Report- Kevin Folan
    • Sick month, everyone has been sick (teachers and students) hoping the illnesses have run their course
    • Great conference day October, January and April
    • Met with students who served on cell phone task force
      • Some kids have lost their phone for a week
        1. That’s the outlier
      • Kids are sitting around and having conversations at lunch
      • 9th day of giving was a success
      • CLUE this weekend at McVinney hall
      • Committee formed state wide bus transportation eliminating between the private school
        1. 30 schools
      • Narrative this is just for rich families
      • Empower families to reach out to state reps
      • Every ten years – school needs to be re-accredited
        1. Mr. Sun and Ms. Wolf 213 page document April 8th April 11th peers to meet with parents, teachers, students
        2. 6-10 parents representing the different divisions
        3. 4-5pm April 8th

  2. Development Update-Mark McLaughlin
    • Play for PCD
    • Golf, dinner and chalk the walk
    • 9th day of giving was raised $9,000 with over 200 donors
    • Directed at alumni
      • More than half the gifts were from alumni’s
    • Pleased by the messaging and eblasts on social media
      • Heavily recorded videos
      • Theme was curiosity and a positive outcome
    • Play for PCD in May
      • If we know anyone at a corporation or foundation
      • Strive to reach our goal $750,000 a little more than halfway there
      • May 3rd dinner and auction
      • May 5th is the golf event
      • Get physical invites sent out before spring break

        3. Ticket cost $75
  • Mikayla Walker has taken a job at a new school
    • School is searching for candidates and has begun interviewing people
    • Have a plan for that transition
