Job Title: Substitute Teacher (Elementary, Middle, and High School)
Location: Providence Country Day Upper School, Middle School and Henry Barnard Lower School
Position Type: Temporary/Part-Time
Job Summary: We are seeking dedicated and flexible Substitute Teachers to provide temporary instructional coverage across various grade levels, including Elementary, Middle, and High School. The successful candidates will be adaptable, able to engage students across different age groups, and skilled in maintaining a positive and effective learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement and deliver lesson plans provided by the regular teacher across different grade levels and subject areas.
Manage classroom behavior and create a supportive and respectful learning environment.
Engage students in educational activities and facilitate effective classroom discussions.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance and document any incidents or issues.
Communicate effectively with students, school staff, and parents as needed.
Adhere to all school policies, procedures, and curriculum guidelines.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field preferred.
Experience working with students in various age groups (elementary, middle, and high school) is advantageous.
Strong organizational, communication, and classroom management skills.
Ability to adapt to different teaching environments and lesson plans.
Interest in collaborating with fellow teachers and administrators
