PCD Welcomes New Director of Finance and Operations
PCD is thrilled to welcome Michael Sandner as our new Director of Finance and Operations. Michael is coming to us from the Hartford International University for Religion and Peace, where he has worked for nearly a decade as Chief Business Officer and Title IX Officer, as well as Director of Human Resources.
Michael earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Miami University in Ohio and a Juris Doctorate from The Catholic University of America’s Columbus School of Law. He has had a long career in finance for nonprofit organizations, including working as Director of Finance for Hartford Stage Company; Managing Director for Adventure Theatre, the longest running professional children’s theater in the Washington DC metropolitan area; Director of Finance and Individual Giving for Cathedral Choral Society in Washington, D.C.; and both Government Affairs and Institutional Giving Manager and Business, Finance and Operations Manager for the Olney Theatre Center for the Arts in Maryland.
“Michael is going to be an enormous asset to our school community and I cannot be more excited to welcome him to our dynamic team,” said Head of School Kevin Folan. “Our national search garnered some of the strongest candidates I've encountered from both the for-profit and non-profit sectors. Michael's skillset in finance, human resources, and facilities, coupled with his proven track record in strategic planning, made him the clear choice. I am eager for the PCD community to welcome Michael this summer.”
We also wish to thank outgoing Director of Finance and Operations Mary Millard, who retired at the end of the school year, for her many years of service to the school. Thank you for your leadership over the past 20 years, especially through our tuition reset and the partnership with the Henry Barnard School.
