  1. Welcome and President’s Report- Kathy O’Grady
    • Thanking the Holiday Tea Volunteer
      • Successful event
      • Lots of man hours on that
      • Will get the bill from Flick end of January / early Feb
        1. Will see the final cost
    • Advertising the Upcoming events
      • Grandparents’ day
        1. Music concert – school administration hosts event
        2. Facilities and arts department take over
      • Teacher appreciation day (need vols)
        1.  Week May 5th-11th
        2. Ideas:
          1. Sunday before we did chalk the walk (weather dependent) – Will need Volunteers – at least one from every class.
            1. Murals all around the campus
          2. We can make posters to hang around the school (if we cannot do the chalk walk)
          3. Remind the class coordinator to do an event
      • Remind the class coordinators to schedule a class night out
            1. $150.00 per class – do a parent’s night out
            2. Some do it before the holidays and some do it after the holidays
      • Give accounting of Sip & Stroll
        1. J. Marcel did $250
        2. Frog and Toad $160.00
        3. Studio Hop $100

  2. Head of School Report- Kevin Folan
    • Thanked the Holiday Tea Vols
      • Open to thoughts and feedback
      • Having 3 performances is a fun but long day
    • Sent out a survey to get a sense of how they are they doing and have
      • received 125 responses
      • Would like to present findings to FA
    • Hearing more from families about the use of cell phone and gray areas
      • Next Wednesday morning 11:30 will be a follow up on friendship
    • 2 seniors have started a PCD run podcast
      • Ryan and Josh - Night Talk
        1. Totally student run and organized
      • Add to the website – so it can be shared more easily
    • Friday will be winter conferences – no school for the students
 
  1. Admissions Update- Melanie Parsons
    • Winter Open house on Thursday 4:30
    • Hosting several families who are experiencing this for the first time
      • Some families are looking for Fall 2026
    • Next Friday, the 24th re-enrollment information to already existing families
    • Retaining families are exceptionally high
 
  1. Development Update-Mark McLaughlin
    • Holiday Tea and Alumni Game
      • Volunteering from the parents has been great
      • Clean up at the end is a quick process and we apricate it
      • Jahdae – thank you for your hardwork
  • Feb 11th is the day of giving
    • Messaging will be curiosity
    • Videos from families, teachers and students
    • The more emails, shared posts and word of mouth is appreciated
  • - Play for PCD
    • Always a Monday golf
    • Saturday night will be dinner and auction and community celebrating (moving dinner to Saturday night)
      • More relaxed for parents
      • Open childcare for parents on Saturday night
      • Sending actual invites to the parents
        • Class coordinator should reach out to the parents
        • $75 PP
        • Class participation wins a prize
          • Pizza party
      • Online auction – get as many new items as we can
      • Business owners or service goods
      • Jadae will send template letter – the family association can send it around
      • Capacity is 185 at the space
          • We will be in the Wilson Room
      • Skipped last year because of the Gala
      • Feb 14th – show appreciation avenue n lunch again
        • Find out dietary restrictions
      • Last May teachers appreciated the flowers, wine and didn’t like the overnight oats
        • Presto Strango – coffee truck – breakfast-y things

  1. Marquis Harper- Athletic Director
    • Athletic winter season
    • Very successful alumni game before the holidays
    • Winter swim in middle school
      • First meet on Saturday
      • 2 swimmers were top swimmers
      • It was crowded in a good way
 
  1. Questions / Closing
    • Senior year t shirts – designed the t shirts
    • Do the seniors like having the lawn signs
    • Jen is having a pottery class – two sessions this year
    • Question:
      • Annual dues by the family
      • Communication what are the dues:
        1. Where does it go? Is it required?
      • At the first and second meetings
        1. $75 per family, back to the school BBQ, Teacher appreciation, holiday tea
      • In August send an email to the families
